In addition to providing ATEX Certification, Epsilon can also offer full CE Marking testing and assessment at our in house laboratories, minimising time and cost to market. Being able to test ATEX and CE at the same time (in the same laboratory) is always the fastest and least expensive compliance route.

Epsilon have full EMC Test facilities including test cell and OATS sites. We offer Emissions and Immunity testing for a variety of product types including control, measurement, laboratory and lighting equipment. We also have significant experience in solving EMC problems and EMC site/assembly assessment. We also have the ability to test or verify by calculation (software) pressure equipment designs (pipes and vessels) and offer guidance on welding requirements, material specifications and quality requirements.

*Epsilon are an approved associate of Royal Sun Alliance for PED Quality Modules and Type Approval so we can fully address all PED requirements via our assessment Engineers with the final Notified Body Certificate (should it be required) being issued by RSA.

Functional Safety: Epsilon also conduct Functional Safety verifications and certification for equipment and sub assembly to determine their failure rates for SIL suitability.  Epsilon also have significant experience in Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments to determine system requirements/needs for given situations. Epsilon  have designed and use proprietary software for failure mode calculations and reliability and also use industry standard databases and software tools.

Environmental and Performance Testing: Epsilon have Environmental and Performance Testing facilities (Ingress Protection etc., Vibration and Shock Testing etc.) covering both European and North American specifications (as part of our UL Datalab Agreement). We have also conducted independent 3rd Party Factory Acceptance Tests globally. We have particular experience in acceptance testing and verification of Gas Turbine Packages and ATEX Safety Systems/Skids and Assemblies.

Provision and use of work equipment safely assessments: Epsilon conduct on site verifications including PUWER for Products and Assemblies (an assessment is required even when assembling CE Marked parts). Assessments cover covering Health and Safety at Work Directives, Noise and EMC Emissions Directives and PUWER.
